The history of the Vititow family and the transportation industry dates back to the early 1900s. In 1928 Virgil Vititow bought a flatbed truck and hauled workers from Sulphur Springs Texas to the Sulphur River, to work on the levy, during the great depression. Since that time the Vititow family has been involved with trucks and trucking.
Virgil's son, Larry Vititow, bought his first truck in 1968. Larry served 2 years in the U.S. Military while his brothers managed his trucks. Larry returned to the business in 1970.
In 1980 Larry received his for hire authority and began hauling refrigerated freight to 48 states and Canada. As years went by Larry added dry vans, flats, and step deck trailers in order to better serve his customers' needs.
In the 90s LVT began expanding our reach in the trucking industry offering services in, LTL, sensitive freight systems, heavy haul, container service, end dump, and dedicated fleets.
